      • Brooklyn Trains. L versus G

I've noticed landlords make a selling point by saying the apartment is a ? minute walk from the subway.  Whats the difference between being near the L train or near the G train?  Is one better than the other?

the JMZ train is good to live on too.  goes to some cool spots downtown and stays above ground so no cell phone service lost.  you right about the G train. pretty much sucks!

Oh yeah this one was written by me to answer by me! L = good and G = Bad.  yeah that be the complex answer.  Take a look at a map, the G goes from one place you don't want to go to another place you don't want to go. (aka Queens to Brooklyn only)  The L moves east and west Brooklyn~Manhattan.  The G takes fricken forever to come and sometimes even completly closes down in the middle of winter for a few weeks without notice.  The L come about every five minutes, keeps you updated exactly when the next one is coming, and lets you know exactly where you are along the way.  If you move to Brooklyn and want to be near a train then live near the L.  Done.
