      • Best area in Manhattan to work as a waiter or bartender

In general I'd like to know which area of the city is the best for landing a lucrative restaurant job.  I know it all depends on the restaurant itself but there must be some areas that are better than others.  I heard Soho maybe?

Definitely stay away from the Times Square Broadway area!  Sorry to say it but the tourist European crowd just doesn't like to tip.  It's bad to say but it is a true trend.  Also you get a lot of people rushing to make a show which is bad for $ too.

You want to be in Soho, Tribeca, West Village, or Midtown.  Stay away from both the Upper East and Upper West Side, the people suck.  Also stay away from Times Square and the Theatre District, too many tourists and people rushing to make the theatre. "

Yeah you're right about Soho. Especially in the warm months when they add more tables to the sidewalks.   Also check out the Meatpacking District.  Very trendy money!
