High Line Art has announced the High Line's first group exhibition, Lilliput. Presented by Friends of the High Line, Lilliput will reflect on the traditional role through a counterbalance to the monumental scale often used for outdoor installations in public spaces. The project will feature miniature sculptures in unexpected places throughout the High Line and will include installations from worldwide artists Oliver Laric, Alessandro Pessoli, Tomoake Suzuki, Francis Upritchard, Erika Verzutti and Allyson Vieira. Lilliput is the first installment of the HIGH LINE COMMISSIONS series for spring, 2012. The exhibit will last from now through April 14, 2013. The High Line: 10th Avenue from West 30th Street to Gansevoort Street.

The High Line will be introducing new food vendors this season to expand upon the concessions already featured from last year, which, up until now, only offered sweets and drinks. To bring some variety to Chelsea, Northern Spy Food Co. which has a home in the East Village, will be opening a concession, featuring soups, salads, biscuits and their own pork sticky rolls. The Taco Truck will also be added to the mix, featuring their traditional tacos and tostas; and a café version of Terroir will be located at West 15th Street in The Porch space, serving alcoholic beverages, salads, Panini and more. These new concessions are just some of the great things happening at the High Line. Construction on the park's third and final section is set to begin in July, and they're currently seeking a full-service restaurant to operate beneath the park.

Section 3 of the High Line Gets Opening an Date! The Friends of the High Line have announced plans for the final phase of the elevated park, created from an old railroad line. The park's completion is expected to cost around $90 million, and be open to the public in spring 2014. The third section will run from West 30th Street, between 10th and 12th Avenues, to West 34th Street. From there, the Line will curve north towards 11th Avenue for half a block. With its location, the project will be integrated with the Hudson Yards development and feature a picnic area, an overlook of Hudson Yards from 10th Avenue, and the "peel up" benches featured in the other areas of the High Line.
