      Stick to SoHo for clothing shopping in new york: everything is there. If you are looking for fashion at an affordable price, try the men's department at Zara and Uniqlo (both in SoHo, on Broadway); while you are down there, pop into John Varvatos (much pricier, but an edgy, urban style, and there are sales) and Ben Sherman (next to Varvatos); Bloomingdale's SoHo is a younger, more contemporary version of its uptown sibling, and is worth a visit, and it's close by. If you are in the market for stylish, fitted suits, Paul Smith is always reliable, though not cheap. But every man should have one Paul Smith suit in his closet. "

      place called Century 21 has great men's accessories like socks, wallets, hankies, underwear, sun glasses, t-shirts, stuff like that. great house linens dept too.  "
