La Montanara is now open in the Lower East Side/ After the successful debut of fried pizza last year at Forcella, Giulio Adriani has created NYC's first fried pizza-only pizzeria with his latest venture. La Montanara's menu features four basic pies including a classic margharita style called the Montanara and three others with toppings like mushrooms, pepperoni, oregano and garlic. In addition to pies, the Ludlow Street restaurant will offer fried pizza sandwiches. Try La Montanara and see if Adriani has taken the next step in the evolution of pizza.
