      • Reasonably Priced Hotels New York City

I know how expensive hotels are in Manhattan. Any recommendations of great value hotels in the outer boroughs that are in a safe neighborhood, an easy trip to Manhattan, and are a good price? Are there any reasonably priced hotels in New York City?

Check out JetSetter for discounts. Also http://hotels.com/"" target=""_blank"">hotels.com. Some trade offs include space for lower cost as in Hotel Jane. "

It depends on what neighborhood. If youre staying in North Brooklyn, then its better to look for hotels in Long Island City, theres some brand new totally affordable chains there. Otherwise, sometimes you'll get lucky with cheap rates at some of the boutique hotels if you book far enough in advance. Hotel Le Jolie can be cheap. Also look at vrbo.com or bedandbreakfast.com you can find some really cool cheap places to stay... "

also try Exchange place area in Jersey City = closer to Manhattan than Brooklyn! Or go to Roomorama.com and rent an apt. instead "
